So we got the new colours for Beloit 15 and A2, and stereo mode.
Stereo mode I guess is a warm up for the S3,
So I guess S3 is next, but what is the thing?
Does it get multiroom funktion? what price range?
Many Q still open.
What about the V1 replacement? Larger sizes? Price? 4K? Design? any news?
What about the new flagship speaker? Any news about design and launch?
What about the Beolab 5, discount or upgrade to WISA?
What about Beolab 3, a classic but old?
What about Beolab 4, a new cheap beolab speaker?
And last for my view for now, is the Beosystem 4, do we get a Replacement with WISA and 4K then it could be interesting.
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I expect them to do an A8 like speaker with multiroom some time soon.
i think that 20% promo was just to clear off some excess incentory to make space for new stuff
I wouldn't expect any truly worthy replacement for the Beolab 5 at this point. I think B&O are not in a financial position to support such a move right now, especially with some already saying the Beolab 20 is almost as good. Some say better, I've never heard them so I can't compare with my 5s.
I'd consider it more likely the BL5, already outsourced to Czech manufacture in the latest version as it is, will just be quietly retired after existing stock supplies are exhausted. It has only 2 more years to go to match B&O's second longest running premium speaker ever (I frequently forget that the 6000/8000 ran longer... insanely long, but were also never top of the line models), the Penta. And if you choose to use the other two as a yardstick, it's not going anywhere any time soon.
BeoPlay V1 desperately needs updating. You can't sit on your laurels in that end of the market, so either a BeoPlay V2 in 4K needs to be introduced, or V1 Mk. 2 or whatever with 4K needs to come along, more sizes etc. as well. I see the PLAY line really being where the potentially good profits will be for B&O in the coming years.

We'll see. Every supposedly amazing thing from B&O the past few years has been hobbled or less than impressive in some way. And they likely won't be made in Denmark which for a 25,000.00 speaker is a deal breaker. Aside from that, the recent speaker introductions (17, 18, 19) have been pretty nice though so I'll hold out some hope.
Good for me either way as it will finally push the 5s price down into reality and put more of them in the used market.
...and/or read the latest articles on Geoff Martin's website.
They definitely have something in store in Struer.

I just spent time doing this. Lots of cool posts by Geoff. I didn't even know it existed.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Definitly a copper black BeoLit 15 and a mini sized A8 would be amazing. The A8 looks HUGE now when sat near the 15 and A2.
The V1 replacement could be exceptional. OLED in a BV11.
It's for sure, my dealer told me, there will come a replace for the Beolab 3500. That's all I know.
I have a feeling that we will see a B&O PLAY Soundbar!
BeoMegaMan:The next 8 months have awesome things in store!! Just wait and see!
Only awesome and interesting thing in B&O stores would be a new Beogram turntable... I know it is not realistic but who knows...

I think this is some kind of a soundbar in the Beoplay range, i hope they make simular, but with more exclusive look for the new NL3500 in the B&O range with use of aluminium.. But again maybe them finally have manage to make aluminium with white colour:)
I think it's a soundbar. It's the one that i mentioned a few weeks ago. A sounder would most certainly fit well in the PLAY range. Very welcome addition!
if it really is a soundbar, that could indicate that one of the next TVs is a scree only design, maybe like 4 and 7 were.
Doubt that, also doubt that they would produce a speaker to be used with other Tvs
It could be some sort of S8 replacement, portable yet a lottle wider to have stereo effect
I would love to see the A8 capable of being a link room speaker -- somewhat taking the place of the BeoLab 2000.
I had been thinking that for quite a while now that once again there is the obvious lack of a good center channel speaker. However, I now notice that all B&O TVs now have an integrated center channel speaker. A B&O dealer recently mentioned that B&O would be moving away from having a separate BeoSystem processor and moving toward integrating the processor into the TVs. While the BeoVision 10, BeoVision 11, and Avant seem to add merit to this claim, I hope this is not the case. I like have a separate socket box for making connections, particularly with wall-mounted TVs.
JK, I think it would definitely be wise for B&O Play to move into the sounder market. It could integrate with other Play future speakers just like the SONOS Soundbar does with their range. Don't forget Play is aimed at the Apple/Smart Phone market so this does make sense. With PLAY, they must realise that the majority of customers either can't afford the price of a V1 or simply would not dream of spending as much as that on a TV but in time, they may want a PLAY Soundbar at £500-600.
Hiort:Spotted this at the innovation camp video B&O posted at their Facebook page: Could that be a soundbar or a new link speaker?

It is a study from the Innovation Camp - nothing more.

There are two component to good sound from a tv:
1: the audioengine working in the tv.
2: the speaker/s built-in or connected to the particular tv.
However, feel free to dream on.
Well, the SONOS at £600 certainly seems to be selling extremely well and B&O would L-O-V-E those SONOS customer would they not?
Thanks for the audio lecture these MM :) Tell me the one about the old Android driven Moment again :)

The adjustments of the sound aquires a menu/an interface. How would you have that on a speaker?
And what should PUC and IR funcionality do on a speaker? Please explain!
You could but won't since you ideally sell a TV as well.
People buy 200$ shirts and 400$ sweater at Barneys or whetever yet they balk at 3000$ for a TV.
For brand to work it has to remain a fashion luxury status item, you cant compete on good sound alone.
I think with the headphones and portable speaker they play this out nicely

@Lano
Do you really expect that people, who buy budget tv's ('the Beo's are too expensive'), would invest in a B&O Play-bar with these functionalities (which cost) and a BeoRemote One???

I think I posted on this a long time ago.
Motorised soundbar able to carry TVs/ panels by others. PUC in the soundbar to control the TV using a BeoRemote.

@Graham
I must repeat my question from above.
I see no (mainstream) market for an expensive product like that.
Who should buy it?
I find that the concept of a "soundbar" just does not fit for B&O. When I think of a "soundbar" I think of manufacturers trying to sell an "all-in-on-speaker" to a budget-minded consumer to generate phantom surround sound. That makes no sense for a company like B&O that excels in loudspeakers. What we need is a proper center channel speaker. Or at least something like the BeoLab 7.1 family of speakers that can provide stereo OR serve as a center channel speaker.
Agree on the first part.
On the second - no!
When you say, that 'we need a proper center....', you assume that we also would have a B&O-tv without built-in speakers.
But we don't - and it does not seem to be, what B&O want at the moment.
The BV's have speaers and are ready to use...without fussing with external gear.
