Greetings all,

I must be sitting on my brain but I can work out that 'Stop' function on that turntable.

Every other function works as should but 'Stop' doesn't seem to do a thing ??

What am I missing here ? Which components are most likely-suspects ?

I  checked various caps and diodes, changed TR11 but no impact.

Anyone any good ideas ?? I wonder whether section 'b' of 15RL1 gets enough voltage ?

Simply put: i am stuck at the moment, so your ideas are most appreciated

Cheers,  ALF

These decks are known to develop oxdiation inside the front panel contacts, particularly if not used for a long time.
The STOP button is not one of the most used buttons, so I suggest you try using a little "controlled fingerforce" and
press it a little harder than you normally would 15-20 times and see if you can break through the oxidation.
If not, it needs taking apart and cleaning.

Many thanks for the advice Martin :-)

Under normal circumstances an easy job but someone was so clever and clued that control board, meaning I won't be able to do some cleaning - great !!!!

perfectly logical that the Stop button won't be used very often and I guess I could live

With the Pause function with the additional 'job' of moving the arm into its resting position - big deal :-):-)

Will however try to apply some contact-cleaner-spray through the gaps with the hope some finds its way onto the contact surface ??!!

Only need a tiny cleaned area:-)

Cheers - ALF

I tried the contact cleaner but without any luck !

As I can not have access to the switch I may have to leave it there unless

There is another dead component involved on the board 1 ???

Cheers, ALF
