I have a Beomaster 3000 that I bought new in the 80s.  I love it.  But it is starting to show its age.  The sound on our Speakers 2 line is starting to cut out.  But more troubling is the fact that the unit has spontaneously turned itself on a couple of times.  I don't use the radio on it, but when it turns itself on it is always on a radio station and it is about midway up the volume scale.  Is there some simple home servicing/cleaning that I might try or should I have it serviced?

Sounds like a dead lithium cell on the cpu board. If less than 3V there are memory problems.

3 Euro material and 30 minutes work.
