Beolit 15's as rear surrounds?

With the new Bluetooth update, I think many of us will be owners of two BL15's.

I was thinking to get a cable from Steve in order to use them as rear surround speakers with my BV7.

Would give a perfect combination of usability. Power on the speaker and use it either with Bluetooth or with your TV.

Unplug them and take them to the balcony or on vacation.

Any thoughts about how they would do as rear speakers?

That's an interesting concept. I like it. If you used a Bluetooth transmitter from the TV, would there be a lag problem? I suspect that's why you ask about a cable.

I suppose they would be better raised to ear height whilst listening. Could you set them up as left and right channels?

Do you know any Bluetooth transmitter that makes it possible to chose what it connects to? It can't be done from the BL15.

A special cable that outputs left channel in both channels on a 3,5mm plug and the same for the right channel would be needed, as the BL15 outputs all sound it receives.

They could be on stands or simply hang on a hook

If they are paired by Bluetooth you can have one as L and the other as R.  Now, if you add a transmitter to the equation, I suspect it may mess that up a bit.  I've just orderd a Bluetooth receiver to try to put on my Beolit 12 as Airplay is so useless with it.  I'm trying to convert it to a Bluetooth Beolit 12 via the line-in and put the receiver behind the cable/socket storage flap (only 15€ for the receiver).  I've no idea if it will work or not.  I'll let you know because if I can select what it pairs to, you should be able to do something with the Beolit 15.

Have you tried asking B&O customer support?
