My A2 that died during the software update was replaced with a new one which arrived today - turnaround of 6 days and excellent aftercare of a 10 month old unit.  I've just paired them and tried them out.

Very nice!  Definitely stereo effect and louder with 2 playing.  The seperation is very good.  I tried it playing Afterglow by Genesis from the Seconds Out live album (as there are 2 drum kits playing together) and they are very well seperated.  I'll play more over the weekend - maybe find a stereo test track to use on Deezer?  I only had them 2 metres apart so will experiment more.

Well worth the effort.  I hope my newly ordered S3's are at least as good.

Dave.

You have to switch both speakers on correct? And they don't stay on?

When I thought stereo pairing through, I actually realized that buying a 2nd A2 may not be that good of an idea since both speakers would need to be switched on and there is no remote - it becomes a hassle.

Of course you have to switch both speakers on.  Not much stereo out of only one speaker.  They stay on whilst in use much as Powerlinked Beolab speakers and switch off when not in use.

There isn't remote option for one speaker so why a hassle?  That would also mean that the S3's are a hassle?

I bought the second with the 15% off voucher so I think it's well worth it.

I would expect the s3 may go into some sort of power save mode and leave bluetooth on. Since they are not based on battery that should be possible.

Your iPhone or iPad (or similar) is your remote I would think.

Money by Pink Floyd sounds great with two A2's! Please let me know of any other tracks that you discover!
