I'd like the idea of using only my beomaster 5 (no beosound 5) connected to the network link NL/ML converter and controlling it's menus trough my  beovision 11 with the beoremote one.

I've connected DVI (from bm5) to hdmi (bv11). When selecting this hdmi connection on the bv11 source selection menu the main menu of the bm5 appears but I can't select anything.

It would be so cool to browse through my albums and to create playlists etc. on the bv11.

Anyone have an idea to make this work? Or is this not possible...?

Regards,

Musicman

I'm afraid that this won't work.

The BV11 has to know of the BM5 to be able to send control commands to the BLC/BM5.
On older TV's this was "hardcoded" within the PC source. On later BS3 based models you could select it in PUC menu.

I never saw this option in BS4/BV11. Maybe try to look in the PUC database whether you find it. But I never saw something similar...

There is an option to use the BM5 with an external ir-eye. Maybe that could help?
