Evening all,

Thinning out my collection due to an impending house move and some wife disapproval...

So, I have a beautiful pair of teak Beolab 5000 and Beomaster 5000 for sale. Fully serviced by our own Martin (Dillen) in 2010 and described to me as being in excellent condition cosmetically. The units sound superb as you would expect from this flagship and iconic product and you have the confidence that all the inside bits have been sorted. Sparing use since they came back to me. All functions work as they should.

Cosmetically, all the transfers are clear and legible with no rubbing. Teak is excellent with only a couple of small marks to either black painted ends. Sliders have not yellowed.

Hard to find a pair in this condition, and if you do, you will have to pay to get them serviced anyway.

Have pictures if interested. Can ship worldwide at buyer's expense.

These are probably the best you will find. Die hard Beoworlders will know I didn't take anything but the best into my collection.

Looking for £550 for these please. Will be heading to eBay in a few weeks if not sold here.

Any questions, please ask :)

What a shame to be selling these iconic units.  Again, considering the condition they will be in - especially after Martin's input, a good price for someone who's looking for top notch vintage Hifi.  B&O at its best.

Dave.

You will be sorry to see them go, but a very considerate price for Beoworlders

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Thanks Both

Time for someone else to scratch this particular itch. A must-have for any serious Beocollector :)

I have thinned down my collection over the years but the one system I would never part with is my 5000 system. With the Beogram 3000, this is the best sounding system I have made by B&O. Wonderful tone and bass and lots of detail. Allied to the simple design and superb build quality, this is simply the best of B&O. Mine came via Frede and is my prized possession, along with the 4401 he gave me!

It was a tough call Peter, but as you know I worked my way through all the B&O grail pieces including the Beolab 5000 for sale here, the Beomaster 6000 quad and the Beolab 8000 system. In the end I had to choose which I preferred and the 8000 is staying put (for now!).

Thanks for all the interest. These items are now sold.

The CDX2 and Beovox 5000s are still available.

Good news. Maybe the new, proud owner will post a picture or two?
