Hi all I am interested to know if any member has any first hand knowledge or recommendations with the following issue:
System setup:
Beovision4 65 / Beosystem 3 / Beolab 9000 Mk11 / Beolab 6000 / Beolab 7.1 / beo link passive amp Beosystem 3 & BV 4 connected Sky box via Hdmi lead no problem sound & video output in BV 4 65 but not to outside speakers , was suggested to connect start lead from Sky Box to scart input in same av bank as sky connection . Successful!!! Sound output to outsid via beo link passive amp.
connect Apple TV via HDMI cable sound & video via TV all working fine!! No audio via Amp to outside speakers! Suggested to connect as above but with optical audio out of Apple TV to Digital Audio to digital coaxial converter & connect to SP/ DIF in second bank altered input on Beosystem 3 for Apple TV to Audio input SP/DIF But no Audio output from Beolink Passive Amp !!!! Switch over to Sat & sky audio on TV & Outside via Passive Amp switch back & select Apple TV input & audio & video on TV but no Audio via amp to outside speakers!!!!
tried power down & repower of Apple TV but no luck
can anyone help Please??

As I understand you need analog sound for your outside Speakers (=link room speakers).

In storage: Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000 (1960s).
You'll need a DAC for the optical out of the ATV to a R/L analog input on the BSys3.
Only 'analog sound' can be distributed to the linkroom.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Then we will have to use a 'HDMI audio-debedder' instead.
there is always a solution ;-)
