I am thinking on installing a beolink gateway in my house, but before i do i want to ask if someone have it installed and can tell me in a few words on how it is?

Is it as good as it seems to be?

I have been looking at some videoes and it look interesting. I am thinking on getting into the smarthouse world, building it out room for room and connect all my b&o together.

I just want to know have it works in real life :)

I have Lutron and b&o in my home and it's flawless.

I've connected Lutron, hunter Douglas and b&o and that's also without issue.

The blgw is rock solid. The most under rated piece in the b&o portfolio in my mind.

What do you want to do.. and what Cheever equipment do you have?

I am first off all thinking on linking the ML/NL products together and then i am thinking on connecting the lights, maybe some blindings for the windows..This is the first think on my mind, but again i think this piece has a lot of opportunities and it's all up to me and my wallet to decide :)
(I have a BLC today so it's not all about the NL/ML, but more the future of smart house )

I don't have any equipment yet, starting from scratch ..

You'll have to invest some thinking and work (same as with the MLGW) but in my opinion it's worth it!

It's so nice to have the remote in your hand and switch the lights or the TV or your Beosound or your Playstation or your Bluray or your... :-)

Based on my experience the toughest "problem" is the user logic: What seems totally logical for me might not be for my wife and the other way round. ;-)

OK, i really like the idea of controlling everything with one remote.. Is it mostly b&o and light controlling that is used with the gateway?

With custom programming you can virtually control anything that allows for IP controlling. If you can connect it to your router, arguably, the gateway can control it.

I have a security system that I can control from my iphone/ipad. Turn security on and off. Also lights are connected to security system and can turn individual lights on and off, scenes, etc. should I be able to control it with a Beo 4 if I had a Gateway?

That's auto correct for 'ip'Big Smile

Not sure about adt. Have a friend with it and haven't tried to incorporate it because it's got tons of cameras and all kinds of pieces I didn't want to mess up.

Check with adt and see if they have an ip interface for automations systems
