I know some of you will think this is obvious and have already done it but nobody as far as I can see has mentioned it before so I'll raise it now.

Airplay is awful for some reason with my Beolit 12.  My Apple devices don't find it, the Beosetup.app 90% of the time doesn't find it and when it does it refuses to play music from it so I have to resort to using the line-in cable to connect it to my iPad Air2.

When I'm in the bath, I like to play music but I also enjoy a quick game of Soda Crush or Farm Heroes Saga - all the intellectually demanding things you can use these devices for!  With the short line-in cable, that's not an option.

So, I bought myself a small Bluetooth receiver which is connected to the Line- in cable instead.  The device is small enough to easily fit inside the rear flap and it works a treat.  I hear no hiss, which is a common complaint from these devices and so far it's been 100% reliable - though over a quite short distance.

It's really meant for use in a car for your phone.  If you receive a call whilst in use, it automatically mutes the music so you can take your call and then starts again when the call is finished.

It's a make I used for making my H6 headphones wireless from my BV7-55.

And here with the Beolit 12:

At 15,99 EUR (same in £ in the UK) it's a cheaper way of getting the functionality of a Beolit 15 with the exception of not being able to stereo pair it.  For me it's the perfect solution to my Airplay frustrations.

Dave.

And it's seems to match the BL12 colour wise too.

rather neat solution and makes the BeoLit 12 truly portable ....

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

@ Dave

Nice solution for the Beolit 12. Smile

I like mine in White Edition.

You can also connect the IPhone to the BL12 USB connector.

It charge your phone and gives you more power and dynamic sound.

Try it Yes - thumbs up

I haven't got an iPhone (yet). I think a 6s may be needed soon. I knew about the charging etc via the USB but had no use for it. I bought my step-daughter a white Beolit 12 and she loves it.
