Hello
I have a beosound 5/ master.
Generally quite happy with it
From the many many radio stations available via N RADIO can anyone recommend:
1.Some high bit rate stations (particularly Jazz, Classical and House genres)- I regularly listen to Linn so am aware of those stations. When I say high bit Im suggesting 320 and above
2. Does the Besound 5 automatically select the bit rate or does it select the stations default which is often 128 bit. Is there a way to check?
3. How often do the stations update, if at all? Im come across a number of stations of late that don't play anymore.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Regards
David

Hi David,
Can't help regarding the BS5, but my OliveOne has lost all its BBC stations. It looks as if the BBC have rationalised their web output: some are now in Flash Player wrappers, and the mp3 streams are now m3u8 rather than m3u. I think the change from m3u to m3u8 cannot be accommodated by the Olive One (i am currently waiting for their support team to give advice on this).
I realise that Radio Paradise (radioparadise.com) probably does not stream the type of music you are looking for, but it is astonishing that this one man band station is able to produce quality output in so many formats, yet the BBC seem to get its web output wrong over and over again.
