hello

the floor stand is seen by the screen and I can enter intôthe setup menu but it doesn't move with the arrows at all.

a picture is displayed on the screen at start that I have never seen before.

i wonder if it doesn't mean that the stand is blocked. Maybe a command with the remote to unlock it.

That's very strange!  Have you tried re-centering the stand via the service menu?  Press 'MENU' '00' 'GO' then scroll down to STAND, select with 'GO' and then press 'GO' again to centre.  The TV should rotate left then right to its full rotation limit, and then return to the centre position.

This might sort the problem - good luck!

You should be right Lee. Just after this picture there is the freeview menu.

Thanks guy for this information. I didn't know there was something about the stand into the "secret menu".

i found strange that the floor stand is recognized by the system but still doesn't move or reacts to any command.

I check this and will tell you.

yes it's the freeview warm-up screen and you cannot move the set stand until this picture extinguishes....

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

I can't move it after neither. Even in the stand menu for its setup (audio, video position...)

by any chance has the power cable come adrift in the rear panel it's just above the AV1 scart socket ?

Good call by Mark there. Check the connection.

My last attempt would be the following..

1) Turn the TV off at the mains for a minute

2) Unplug the stand

3) Turn the TV on

4) Reset the TV to default

5) Turn the TV off at the mains

6) Reconnect the stand

7) Turn the TV on

Hello olvisab,

I guess you have an inbuilt HD module, correct?

There is the usual stand power cable plug in at the rear of the tv. Correctly plugged.

Yes.

beolab 5, beolab 1, beolab 5000, beolab 3500, IWS 2000, beovision 7 40 mk6 3d, beotime, beosystème 4500, beogram 7000 white,

The picture with the ugly clock is the startup picture of the HD-module. It was shown on my BV 10 in 2009 with the first software after switch on the tv before the regular picture appeared. This was because the electronic curtain opened too soon. This behaviour had been fixed with a software update in 2010.

Later the HD-module failed and only the ugly clock was shown on the screen. The HD-module had been replaced then.

You can try to disable the HD-module in the service menue. Or you can reset your BV 6 to default. If this doesn't help I guess the HD-module has to be replaced.
