There it is!
H3
BeoVision Horizon ● BeoLab 14 Subwoofer ● B&O Play A9 ● Beolit 15 ● B&O Play H8 ● B&O Play H5
Now all we need is a choice of colours as I already have H3s in gunmetal grey and i would get them mixed up.
Available end of October. Another thing to fit in your pocket! My step-daughters skinny jeans won't take it!
Dave.

I hope this time the colour looks the same in real life as on the photos! This was unfortunately not the case with the standard H3 headphones in black.Let's see how good they sound and work in real life. Hopefully they've done it right this time as the embarassing H8 was sent back.

What!
I thought you put them in the ears 👂

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Duels:What about your skinny jeans Dave?
I'd need two pairs - one for each leg! When my A8's give way I may consider these. And jeans with a big pocket or cargo pants.

As you know - the noise cancelling unit is designed to fit in your pocket next to your phone. She can barely get the phone in her back pocket they are so tight. Her phone now has a curved screen because of the pressure in there! Maybe that's the next iPhone design with a gentle curve to mould around your backside in a pocket!

Sorry, I was to quick!
You have to carry that clumsy thing with you, I now see.
No way - not with me!
P.S. So that is where the curved screens have their origin 😸
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Can we be sure, that that kind of pic doesn't get 'moderated'
OMG OMG *bagonhead*
OT: even if I dislike by default the "extra box" concept, for those who prefer in-ear headphones on long(er) flights that would not present a problem. I just wonder if the "NC box" can be disconnected/reconnected or is it permanently attached?
Mark: impressive technology when you think about it.... in ear noise cancellation

that's right, but not new. Sony already built it into a beautiful MP3 player in the year 2007, the NWZ-S700 series: http://www.hardwarezone.com/product-sony-nw-s705-walkman-player
Sony Xperia Z2 phone, Z2 tablet, Z3 and Z3 compact do have it integrated, too. So you just need the special in ear phones from Sony and there's no additional box. Perfect on flights or on trains!

Good question - and (if yes) could be bought seperately?
By the way - I guess, that the 'boxie' has to be 'out in the open'. Having that in a pocket probably wouldn't cancel much noice.
normally the microphones are integrated into the headphones! On those new Beoplay in-ears you can see a smal line of holes, too. I guess that's where the microphones are located.
At least that's the way all other manufacturers (Sony, Bose...) are doing it.
This way the electronic is able to filter the noise that gets to your ears and not the noise from your pocket. :-)
On a plane active noise cancelling is even good when you don't want to listen to music or watch a movie because it filters the engine noise to a relaxing level.

Ouch! You are right. Makes sense.(Haha how silly I was not thinking about it.... :D)
I was hoping to "upgrade" potentially my regular H3.

Finally! Been waiting for this!
Happy to see the huge amount of product launches and updates they are doing .... should be a great christmas business for them
best case scenario:- the box could be detached from the cable with standard plugs when you don't need it.- it runs on standard batteries (AA or AAA) that are interchangeable because Gadgets run out of power when you need them.
Hiort:The "box" doesn't look so bulky.
Why not use the (audio)device itself (i- or -droid) for the noice reduction.
That must be possible in some way.
All these devices have a microphone already - just a matter of software, or?

That would assume that the microphone is very close to the ear, since its the noise leaking into the ear you need to "cancel out". Does not makes sense to use the microphone in e.g. the phone.
You mean, that the micro/s is/are built in to the earbuds!
Ok - other way 'round:
What does the 'big box' actually do?

Mark:Well apart from the ANC tech and USB charging port there is 20hrs of lithium battery squeezed into the puck...
Thanks for clarifying.
I was just wondering, because usually there is plenty of room for the 'big box' in the onhead/overhead headphones.
I would have imagined, that they could have made this 'big box' a bit smaller.
Placed on the cable that close to the mini-jack forces you to leave the phone out of your pocket.
So - lets wait and see how the first buyers react to this solution?
