I've just inherited a Beogram 1902 turntable and I want to get it up and running. The turntable has a 5 pin DIN plug. I have attached this to my amplifier using a DIN-to-RCA adapter (red+white) into the aux input. I am getting sound but it is extremely quiet.

I'm new to B+O equipment. Is this a common problem or am i doing something stupid?? Mechanically the turntable seems to work fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to Beoworld.  The BG1902 does not have an inbuilt pre-amplifier (RIAA).  Unless there is a pre-amp in your AUX or PHONO input on your amplifier, you will need to buy a seperate pre-amp for example from Steve at Sounds Heavenly (bottom of the page).

Dave.
