It's funny how Roberts have managed to keep a quality image in the UK yet their products are sold everywhere.
The problem for B&O now is that every Beolit 12/15 spotted and admired by Joe Public is likely to be mistaken for one of these when he goes around to his electronics shop!

It's not a B&O design you silly boys, it's designed by the interior designer Cecilie Manz. B&O can't pretend it's their design when Cecile designed it. But the 12 and 15 are a ugly as Hell.
And then it's made in some outsourced cheap factory in China. So, it's as B&O as... well, that Roberts.
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

the Beolit was designed for B&O just as Pininfarina designed some great cars for Ferrari, Lancia, Alfa.
the actual designer of the Dino , Gamma Coupe etc was Aldo Brovarone and not Pininfarina , his employer. I know , I've met him and he signed the PF book for me.

To answer the original question, they remind me of an American wishing machine crossed with a Beolit, by somebody who has seen neither in the flesh !

If you're going to quote somebody , kindly quote including the whole wording.
And the materials used for the main casing, which are very nice for plastic, are unlikely to have been used on the Roberts "copy"
