Hi

I have upgraded all my link rooms to Beosound Essence Mk2

Does anyone know how to set like bass, treble and mono/stereo ??

The Setup app has none section for this.

I have asked the Support in Struer 3 times now, but gets no response at all (very bad support !)

Best regards Rudi

Rudi, who have you tried to contact? My experience is that when you contact the correct department, you get a very fast response and help. Have you tried your dealer?

I would have thought changes to these settings would be done via your streaming source (Deezer, Spotify etc.) which is where I do it for my A9 etc. I'm not sure you can do this directly as an Essence string.

Hi Rudi,

at this phase the BeoSound Essence does not have any options/settings for manually configuring the bass, treble, etc...

Best use the webmail on the B&O website - costumer service -> contact.

How do you know the mailadress, when you did not get response❓

Did you ask your dealer the same question?

As I said though, my understanding is that you need to do this via your source, not the Essence.

I would not be surpriced, if it can be done by connecting an ir-eye to the unit using the beoremote.

OK, I'll rephrase - from the control device that you use e.g an iPhone, iPad etc. you can change all settings from there, my understanding is the Essence per se can't do that.

I wonder why B&O has not included WISA in Essence MK2. After all it seems that all new B&O  speakers have WISA so why not making new devices compatible with them?

Upgrading the essence with Beolab Transmitter 1 also seems to be overkill if you are only using the audio source (which esence is) and all newer TV's already have WISA-capabilities.

Could it be so that several WISA-transmitters could not be installed in the same home due to interference?

are there any two channel WISA-transmitters out there?

Why force people to pay almost double-up, when they don't need the WiSA function?

If you need it, just buy the Transmitter 1 - easy, peasy 🍋

Millemissen, it however seems like B&O designers thought differently with regard to the speakers as they already have wisa receivers and everyone have to pay for it, even if they might rather use powerlink cables and save a few bucks.

I would have gladly paid for wisa-capabilities in Beosound Essence.

Second most important Audio product without WISA.

Maybe there are idiots living, designing and working in Denmark?

In that case, I would answer with a 'no'!

But where is the 'link' to BS Essence MK2/second most important Audio product/WiSA?

Hi MM,

Yes, that is the new version with support for bass / treble / loudness controls. The sound controls are accessed via the beosetup app under 'sound' -> 'sound controls'.

Martin.

The Latest update of the play products will enable the ability to adjust the treble and bass.

Try to update your Essence and see if that will have also the same feature of the latest software update.

I just checked my Essence through the BeoSetup App and lo and behold here's a sound control option in settings / sound which has bass tone, treble and loudness options.

....and the option to pick out the exact kind of speakers, that you have connected.
