is there a very noticeable difference in PQ between the bv 7.55 mk1 and mk2 ?

any software upgrade that reduced the gap between both.

The people to ask about that are Lee and Matt at Lifestyle AV. They have had them all. Give them a ring. Others here may have had both mk's and can advise. Software can normally be upgraded anyway.

Yes. One seems to be a bulk standard panel, and the Mk2 very unique. And that's a good thing.

Blue Ray player better as well Yes - thumbs up

As an previous owner of both, I can second Chris´comment - the mk2 panel is still among the best B&O have released. Moved on to an Avant 55, but the lack of local dimming of the backlight made be trade up to the Avant 75 - but is the 75 as good as the 7-55 mk2? Not sure, actually, as UHD/4k material is just as available (and relevant) as 3D was/is :)
