I have just picked up my trusty Beomaster 900 after storage a year. Thought it might be nice to have in the kitchen again but now something has happened with the reception: it seems to have very difficult to pick up any signal on the FM band, whether I use the internal or an external antenna. The only thing that comes out is noise, but when I moved the radio to some obscure, impossible position, then a reception is picked up and a noise-filled sound comes out.

What should I look for?

Most likely a problem in the IF circuits. Typically a transistor.
