With all this net link stuff, why  can't your  b & o tv send  what your watcing/recorded to another tv from its drive? Sort of follow me from one tv to another!  A year ago I did hear of something called push tv for the Avant but nothing more or have I got this wrong?

If  this company can do it why not b & o?

All Reference screens feature an anti-reflective, high-contrast glass filter panel. The sets also have onboard PVRs with a built-in 1TB hard drive. As well as recording and archiving programmes, this DR+ HDD also acts as a video server that can be accessed by other Loewe sets in a home network, using DR+ Streaming. Viewers can alo pause a programme and pick up where they left off on another DR+-equipped TV in a different room, so-called DR+ Follow Me.

Content licensing is the big issue.

That's always been the block but if so, how come loewe can it on there sets but not b &o?

Is there really a cost to do that?

I often think about this and the cost of installing all those cables to make this function, so i thought i'd never spend that money and i just pay an extra $10 per month for an extra foxtel box in other rooms :-)

So it's kind of like follow me because i can pick up where i left off in one room :-)

Trust me ... I wish I had done that instead of buying the analogue solution B&O provided.

It was never consistent, and the quality was inferior.

I was too enamoured with trying the B&O live style way ... Instead I should have simply gone down your path !

https://www.pulse-eight.com/p/180/neo4-basic

fully PUC compatible and very reliable compared to some HD Matrix brands........

also will work with other brand sof TVs in the secondary (eg childrens rooms).

Cabling v cheap Cat5e or Cat6.

IMHO anythign with Loewe on it AVOID!

Masterlink and coaxial was OK for standard def to a second link TV, but the quality was definitely degraded. Taking the broadcast signal direct to each separate TV gives better quality, but it's highly likely that the TV's or set top boxes will have fractionally different processing times, creating a very annoying echo in room positions where both TV's can be heard.

However years ago when you might have gone down that path the opportunity cost of the extra box was likely not available

The only limitation my solution has if I record on one box I can't sling it to the other.

Boxes to me are old technology I would just like the card or an app on something. That being said the box does use the cable network which is superior to other delivery methods.

I have tried many other analogue solutions like video senders, I paid nearly $1000 for a sling box and the receiver when they came out here and a few other things. But they were never good. That's when I bit the bullet.

I really wanted to love the sling box too. Now it sits in a box. I don't want to sell it because of the money I spent and feel silly because it was wasted money something which I hate.
