Hello everybody, I have received from my parts supplier  part No. 8420001 BeoSound 9000 - CD mechanics have been discontinued and are no longer exchanged module to BS9000 more.

I think it's very bad because I and many other B & O lovers would have left BeoSound 9000 because it is unique, there is nothing like a BS9000

What should we do, how do we serve it, anyone have any good suggestions, or where can one buy CD mechanics from.

Thanks for any reply

Best regards

Jan

I bought some spares from the US. I may have one amongst them. There are some CD mechanisms but I can't remember which ones. I'll check over the weekend if you like?

There is a variety of cd-mechanisms used in the BS9000. Most are still and will be available on the market.

The lastest used version mk3 uses VAM1250 and is still available at the dealer. But at this moment I have a VAN1250 version. But after swapping with 2 another lasers, the fault has (also) to be found in the PCB 41. And that's a thing. How long will these PCB's be available..

Hello beobuddy, you may are right that in itself the error is on the PCB 41 ????

When I order or earlier could order a part No. 8420001 CD mechanics to BS9000 MK3, I received also PCB41 together delivered. This is a service pack.

I have not previously tried to find fault on the PCB 41 and have always replaced them with a new one. Do you know which component on the PCB 41 causes the error?

Best regards

I want to update my post and to correct some points.

Part Number Part No. 8420001 BeoSound 9000 - CD mechanics are too MK2 an upgrade kit that is no longer available from Bang & Olufsen.

BeoSound 9000 MK3, the CD-Mechanics can be ordered from Bang & Olufsen

Part numbers: 8420254 and 8001872 this parts match also BS9000 MK2

It can not be ordered clamper from BS9000 MK3 is different from MK2 model.

The upgrade kit Part No. 8420001 was also clampern with the upgrade kit package, where you could upgrade BeoSound 9000 MK2 to MK3.

To serve a BeoSound 9000 MK2 is now required clamper sitting in a MK3  and Part numbers: 8420254 and 8001872

B&O sells unfortunately not camper sitting in BS9000 MK3 as spare parts

Best regards

Jan
