Hi all,

I've just picked up a Beocenter 2100, Beogram CDX and two Red Line speakers form the local classifieds... $250 for the lot... Couldn't help myself!

The girl that sold it to me said she'd last used it a few years ago without issue, however she wasn't able to get the setup to operate today.  The CDX appears to be working correctly; I can plug it into another amp and get it to play.  The 2100 is another story though...  When I hit the power button, the unit lights up with the input selector showing 'P1' as the current input.  All that is audible is a loud hum which goes up and down with the volume slider.  It is also refusing to change input from P1 to anything else - i.e. I can't change to AUX, Tape, etc...

Has anyone come across this before? Is it a write off?

Thanks Kurt.

Hi Kurt,

I picked up a Beocenter 2100 yesterday in a charity shop and am having exactly the same issue; stuck on P1 and cannot change source. Did you ever resolve the issue?

Cheers, Colin.
