Hey guys.

I am considering getting some headphones and was going to get the H8 as they are top of the line, but now the H7 came out and I have a dilemma.

The H7 dont have ANC but on the other hand cover the whole ear which is a pus for me as I use glasses and they dont press the ear against the frame.

Other thing is the bass on the H8

Which one would you buy if you were supposed to get one or do it all over again if you won a H8

I have no heard the Khaled version of the H6, but I do hope that the H7 has more bass then the original H6...

Agreed. I preferred the sound of the H8 to the H6 personally. Bass is much clearer and punchy.

Hi there

I have the H8. It's a great headphone certainly the active noise cancellation works well and is as good as the Bose. In terms of sound I'm very happy with it, it's sound is quite different to the Bose Quiet comfort ANC headphones. The bass is better and clarity with the H8 vs the Bose.I don't have a H7 or H6 so I can't comment on H8 vs H7.

If you fly the ANC of H8 could become very useful as I have often found - though over the ear design might reduce this need. Personally I'd would prefer H7 with ANC vs H8 but that's not possible for now Stick out tongue

Btw I wear glasses and it was fine for me on a 8 hrs flight nearly the whole flight duration

On pictures I don't find a difference in size if the ear part from a H7 to a H8.

I think that only the H6 covers the whole ear not H7/H8.

Some people have seen and tried the H7 see Vlohjr1 comments on the H7 thread. I haven't seen it in Aust or Asia yet so no idea - the marketing collateral said its over the ear but when does marketing tells the whole storyBig Smile

I'm keen on the H3 ANC as sometimes it's better to wear less obvious headphones than the likes of H6/H7/H8

I haven't tried the H7's but as the owner of some H6's, and the new owner of some H8's here is my view.

ANC aside I found the H8's to offer a much warmer(bassier) sound, less clinical that the relatively dare I say it, dull H6's. I didn't find the different ear cups as much a change as I thought, but then that does have a lot to do with ANC, which is mightily impressive.

I sent my wife to get me a sandwich in Heathrow, and she came back with a brown pair of H8's!

RESULT. Yes - thumbs upYes - thumbs upYes - thumbs up

Already wrote this in the flash-thread, but it suits better here:

Just changed my H8´s for H7´s.

It is different, that is for sure.

First I didn't like it, simply because it was different and all music did not sound how it was "supposed to".

Listened to Up is Down with Hans Zimmer about five times on repeat to kind of "recalibrate" my ears.

Listened to Max Richter's Recomposed album yesterday, and I must say I am very satisfied.

I would say the H8 are a little more crisp in the upper segments (violins for example). I missed this the first few rounds with Up is Down, but now I am happy with it.

I would maybe say that H7 vs H8 are like Penta's vs 8000's (not taking lows into concoderation). The bass feels a little heavier on the H8's, but there is not missing any in the H7's.

But I am considering going back to H6 mk1 or mk2, Bluetooth is convenient, but not ideal.

One thing I love when walking around outside with the H7 is that I dont hear my footsteps in the headphones. This was a major issue with the H8´s. I am becoming more and more satisfied every day :)

I went for a walk with my H8s this morning. If I put my phone in my left pocket I got 50% music, in my right about 80% and in my *** pocket inches away from them, 90%. I only got generally uninterrupted music if the phone was in my hand and in front of me.

Have there been any recent updates for this recently, or is it just how they are made? I loathe the Apple AirPods, but I hear they have zero drop outs which is impressive.
