Hi. This is my first post!
I have a Beomaster 4500 amp/tuner and a Beogram 4500 CD player, played through a couple of B & O Beovox 4500 speakers. I'm wishing to purchase a B & O turntable secondhand but not necessarily the 4500 model.
Can anyone advice which turntable is compatible to this system and which of the inputs (Aux or Phono) the recommended turntable would be plugged into.

Your Beomaster 4500 does not have a RIAA built in.
So you can use the following turntables that has RIAA inside themself
4500
6500
7000
Then you can use the other beograms that does not have RIAA, but this requires a RIAA between the turntable and the beomaster:
5005
5500
8500
etc..

I'm certainly not ruling a 4500 turntable out!
It was just a matter of finding a compatible B&O turntable to add to my existing system and which would work well. The Beogram 4500 is the obvious choice, to keep it all consistent but now I'm aware of other models which will work equally as well and those which will eliminate the need for an external RIAA unit.
Having said that, I'm unfamiliar with good RAII interfaces and aesthetically, I would prefer to minimise the number of connections, leads etc. on show!
