Don't know if its "placebo" but I do think the treble is much improved.
The A6 is a great product. You should try it!
The A6 isn't even available here yet! And it won't be until probably March next year :/

Yes - both my A9 and A6 were updated. They must be on precisely the same code base. I think this is the new update with the Line-In multi-room distribution support from 3rd party sources.

I noticed yesterday that my A9 must have been upgraded automatically as in the Besosetup.app I can now see more control functions for line-in etc that weren't there before. Constant updates - I love it.
Dave.
What is your opinion of the A6? I love mine, but I have not heard much from other Beworlders owning an A6.

I suspect that's because it isn't available yet in most markets apart from Denmark etc. Not in the UK, Australia, US or many other countries yet. I'm not sure how many markets it's available in but not many.
Based on the positive reviews, I expect it will sell well when available. I have no need for one at the moment but that can quickly change!
I picked mine up at Copenhagen Airport on the way back home last week. The Beoplay store gave me a good deal on top of the fact the exchange rate was helpful. Hard work getting it home on the plane.
To put it in context, I purchased it as a multi-room product specifically for our kitchen. In terms of experience; I like the overall product performance, although the sound on mine is a good deal thinner than the A9 especially in the mid-range. I'm going to play with the position switch to see if that makes it better. The multi-room element works great. I used one of the suggestions I saw on here suggesting bringing down the sync for wireless to 250ms which is all working great.
I also like the simple interface to the rear like the A9.
It certainly has had visitors talking about it.
Having got it at a super price, I'll watch to see the Beolab 3500 replacement next year and if thats superior then I'll swap or keep as I enjoy the portability and simplicity.
The first wave of shipments to Portland, Oregon come in on Tuesday! So excited to pick mine up and give it a whirl!
We only have 3 left! Wonderful piece of gear.
