Beolab and beomaster relay

I never use speaker 1 with my beosystem 6500 as the mute relay needs to be changed. Now I have Beolab 6000's via powerlink. Does the sound go through the mute relay. I assume it does which means I have to change the relay

It doesn't! Smile Powerlink speakers are muted via the appropriate Powerlink signals, not by cutting out their audio with the relay. You will notice that the speakers' standby LEDs turn red immediately when you select mute.

Oh. I hadn't thought of that at all. It's just that some cds sound great, some sound awful. I used to have my beovox m150 speakers connected and everything sounded great. I'll have to investigate a bit more.
