A wellinformed bird just told me that B&O will use LG panels including their smartTV platform from now on. This will mean more apps than today in the Homemedia section. Hopefully B&O will be able to put their own design on the SmartTV GUI. Would not surprise me if all that was included in the "BV11 replacement".

Time will tell.

That is great news. Not only are their panels currently cutting edge, but their UI is excellent.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

LG OLED panels are indeed absolutely amazing and excellent but their UI and Smartplattform is really slow, sluggish and a pain to use if you want to adjust something. It would need a lot of work and I can't understand how 2015 hardware can be slow and sluggish to use!

Please B&O, only take the fantastic OLED panels and use a clean, easy and FAST UI. :-)

I'm wondering whether current BV11 owners can upgrade the internals / chassis (for a price, of course).

I don't know, but I find it highly unlikely.

All I heard was that a UHD version of the 11 was coming, and it used the same technology as the Avant. So not LG based upon that, which would be a shame.

No offence but I've just never been impressed with it, and dynamic contrast is very 2010!

If that's the case it uses the Avant insides and no HDR ect could look dated pic?

Sure the BV11's become updated panels - not least because they probably can't buy any of the FullHD panels anymore.

As for HDR etc, we will have to wait and see - much may happen with panels during the next 6 months.

I expect to see the 'V1 successor', before anything happens with the BV11.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
