Hello everyone,

Is there a way to check if a beo5 is alive without the base? I guess just connecting 5v and ground to the respective terminals would not do it, as the charger id pin is connected to something?

If anyone has any idea please shoot. I just dont want to buy a base for a non working remote.

Also is the service manual for the beo5 in the beoworld database? its time for be to become a proper member i thing

Connecting as above should work, although it will put the beo5 into USB mode and it will charge incredibly slowly (or not at all with the screen active).

You can force the beo5 into mains charging mode by also connecting a 200k ohm resistor between the GND and charge id pins.

Kind Regards,

Martin.
