When I select screen mute, for a minute or two when I change the volume the words "volume 56" still appears. Eventually it disappears.

Question, is the screen really off, or just black and empty to give a false impression it's turned off. I ask because here I am studying with just music playing, and I am under the impression that picture muting is saving me an unnecessary expense!

When you press "P. Mute" the picture disappears and the backlight will still be on, but only for the first minute or so (in that time you will be able to see the "volume xx" on the screen), then the backlight will eventually turn off too.

If you press P.MUTE the screen is only black for about a minute. During this time you see VOLUME on the black screen if you change volume. After a minute the screen goes really OFF.

Thanks.

You know what listening to some Ibiza Classics on the Apple TV radio, it just occurred to me how cool it would be to stick my 10-46 black with red fret, its Beo 6 and Beolab 11 in the middle of a modern art museum with just the sound playing. All boxes and wires hidden. It would certainly have more appeal than most of the tat i see Tracy Emin knock up, and be a cool advertising coup to boot.

Im not using p.mute. I have the AV command in my list on the remote. So I simply press - List, AV - Go then the source - mostly Vmem with is where I have spotify and iTunes. Same same but different :)
