I looked at one today, and the speakers and multi tasking was very impressive. What struck my kids and I the most, was the pens ability to replicate crayons or paint brushes. An elderly Chinese man couldn't be more impressed about his artistic writing.

Weight wise, just scale up the latest IPad. The clever keyboard/cover really did turn it into a MacBook, adding a lot of weight to what the Apple boss was claiming about this end of the PC. It's more powerful than a MacBook Air which we have recently bought, but this is better!

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

.......and iOS is much more productive than OSX......

It's THE device which causes a great stir for surfing in the world wide web.

I can not understand the blind Apple love.

I had a Macbook Pro and the glossy glass screen seemed to be invented by someone who only works in a darf office. I hated that!

Regarding the pen: Microsoft Surface Pro is the device to beat...

I think product is really aimed at architects etc. Never really been an iPad fan except for showing clients videos etc. For me, i'll keep my MacBook Retina.

I had a listen to the Devialet Phantom in Harrods the other week, it sounded awful with much too much bass and looked more like a handheld vacuum cleaner.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Glad you asked. I was wondering the same. Are we missing something here?

I think it just says that an Ipad is the ultimate audio system and that trying to make something better for B&O is (now) impossible.

It's just humour/provocation from the poster I believe. Fine for me and not so wrong.

BeoGreg have summarized my thoughts.

I am sad to see that Bang & Olufsen can not compete today in audio component sound system.

Being humouristic/provocating or not - an ipad can't be a BeoSound (or BeoVision).

It can do a perfectly fine job as a source via AirPlay or a control device via the apps for a B&O setup.....

......no matter how big (or small) it may be.

For some people ;-) it may be 'the ultimative audio system ---- possibly combined to a certain french speaker ;-))))

But there is no way, that it can replace a B&O sound/video system!

This almost did both

That  - I must admit - is almost (!) true ;-)

I bought one myself second hand pretty cheap half a year ago for an old iPad.

And I enjoy it.

Haven't heard the sound coming from an iPad Pro yet, but I can't imagine, that it would come near this.
