Hi All, I have just taken hold of the Beogram 3000, Beomaster 1200 and Beovox 3702 and I need a little help. The turntable deck seems to be spinning really slowly but the voltage is set onto 240v which I use in the UK. I am unsure if that is because of the belt being loose or something else. Bare in mind it has been sat for a number of years.

Also the Beomaster 1200 Amp was accidentally set on 110V and plugged into a 240V socket and no longer works. Is there any easy fix for this as i really need to get this up and running.

Thanks for your help and any advice would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Ben

Welcome to Beoworld!

Your Beogram is probably suffering from a combination of belt problems and solidified lubricants. Look through the workshop forum and you will find plenty of advice. Martin (Dillen) can probably help if a belt is needed.

I am not sure about the effect of applying 240v to 110v transformer setting. You might have just blown the internal soft blow fuse(s) or you might have damaged the transformer and/ or internal components. I am sure there are others here who have done the same thing and who can advise you.

Leave the Beogram running and see if it gets faster! If it does, it is the oil that has solidified and the motor will need servicing (boiled in oil, I jest not!)
