Does anyone know how to reset a BL Active to neutral values for bass, treble, right/left?
In the 'old days' having a BeoLab with display made it easy to read out the values (and choose, what you prefered). But that is not possible with current BL's.
Sure you could rely on your hearing abilities/preferences, but having a neutral starting point would be better imo.
Any ideas?

There is a tv - and there is a BV
If you - like me - use and have used different BL Actives in different configurations with different speakers,
you may have (had) to change the values some times.
Not to speak of those, who buy one second hand!
I would be very surpriced, if there is no such possibility!!!
P.S. I have to think of a way to dive into 'the reservoir of knowledge' (in Struer) ;-)
There is a RESET command that can be added to LIST but I think this just resets the levels to the stored value and not to 'flat' so it probably won't help.
The only way I can think to do this would be to determine the number of steps for each control - either from memory if you can remember from when you had speakers with a display, or by trying to count the audible changes from minimum to maximum. Then adjust all the way in one direction, followed by half the number of steps back.
Not an ideal solution I know, but I'm not aware of any other way to do this.
Kind regards
Martin.
1: that is just a reset of the temporary values, yes.
2: that - of course - is, what I have done so far.
This thread seems to imply that one can set the left/right balance on an Active box. However, when I step through A.SETUP on my beo4, I only get Bass, Treble, Loudness and S.Store. No left/right. Is it possible?
Thanks in advance,
Stan
