I have a question about above tv. I was setting for a freind which has sky hd box and oppo DVD player I have them both controlled via puc, but I notice the tv is slow to start up, when it does come on. If I change source from Sky to DVD or vice versa it just seems slow, Is this normal for this set!!

Normal start time is around 20-25seconds. A change between sourced is usually not slowed by the TV itself, but the device you´re changing to. Once you press the source button it powers up the connected device which may take a while.
