I just had a new Beovision 11 delivered to me by my insurance. They didn't get B&O to come and install it. After a lot of work, I got it all setup but there's no pin?? I've looked on the boxes, on the pamphlets...nothing.

Is there a generic pin for new tv's per chance? So disappointed as I had planned a great movie night :(

Guess the dealer have to order a new pin from Struer.

Normally the code is handed out by the dealer (with the other paperwork).

Your insurrance - as the buyer - should contact the dealer to get it.

Didn't you contact the insurrance first thing?

I only finished setting it up after work, so it was too late to phone BUT as usual Beoworld never lets me down. I searched the site and someone had said to try 1111, so I did and it worked! I am so happy :) Would have been horrible to sit in front of the Beovision not even get to use it. Such a difference between my Beovision 7 MK 1. Almost too clear, everyone looks so much older, wrinkles and imperfections show up a lot. Will take some getting used to.

Thanks for the replies though, it is really appreciated. I should have searched the site first but I was rather eager to get an answer.

Please do set your PIN to something different for security purposes. It is a great feature to have on for security purposes.

That's the service code?!  (well, it's 11111..)  I'd assume someone talked you through it.

Still, you'll have a few hours to set it up and watch it until you get the correct PIN Code!!

@Hoirt....thank you for the link, was very interesting to read.

@ Sal I will definitely do that!

@Lee...you were correct, the TV went off this morning whilst watching Youtube lol. I have asked the insurance to sort out the pin issue. Luckily I'm at work so its ok and I know no one else can use the TV haha!

Once you 'burnt' your service time you need to enter the PIN code to restart the clock.

So, if it's used its service time, ain't nobody watchin' that TV today! Geeked

Pin code received....drama averted. Rushed home during lunch to see if it worked. Snapped a quick photo, sorry the quality is so bad, I was out of breath from running inside (as well as being over excited) to hold the phone steady! Need to tidy up still.

Congrats...

Here's an unrelated question triggered by the photo of your setup.

My BV11 is on an easel stand. I really like the way it looks, but I'm also curious about the motorized stand. What holds me back from the motorized stand is cable management.

For folks with pole mounted (motorized stand) TVs whether it be Avant , BV11, 10, or other models at your homes, what do you do with the power cord? Do you purchase an extra long one, and snake it around the baseboards along with all the other A/V cables? I have a rather robust surge protector behind the television into which the TV and BL9's are plugged in.

I'd be concerned about "ruining" the look of my BV 11 as it "floats" in the air by the coil of wires and the surge protector behind the television, or, is the TV not that high off the floor for anyone to notice?

I have both a BV7 and a BV 10 on motorized stands. Hiding the cables is a problem, especially with the BV7. I have considered replacing it with a BV11 with the easel stand to solve the problem. Have also considered an Avant with the table stand on top of a cabinet. And have considered this product.

http://www.theevosystem.com/

It can be configured in different sizes and shapes. I have thought of mounting on the wall behind the BV7 as somewhat of a "frame" around the BV7. The wires could then be run directly into it and hidden without the need of going down to floor level.

With my BV10 I have tried to make the wires as neat as possible and have hidden them in white cable covers that match the color of my baseboard trim. But there is still the main cable snake of wires coming out of the BV10 that has some slack in it to allow the turning. There are wires still visible thus with the 10 on the motorized stand.

The motorized stands are nice to have, but the easel is in my opinion the best looking option.

Thanks guys...still loving it.

I used to have a Beovision 7 and as Razlaw mentioned its quite difficult to get a neat look if the wires are traveling down to the floor. I tried many times and never got it to where I was 100% happy although I still think its a beautifully designed TV. The Beovision 11 is much, much easier. As the TV sits extremely low. you don't see the wires. Perhaps they might show if you have a huge room where you are viewing a long distance away. So it is much easier to get it neatened up. The wires are only really noticeable when the are running past the Beovision. I will run mine behind the extra bit at the bottom of the skirting.

Because of the visible wires: That's why I use BL10 instead of BL7, no wires visible in front of BV7. And you can attach an Apple TV at the back of BL10. All in all a perfect solution for me.

All PIN coded items have a 5 (not 4) digit 'master code' associated with the serial number.  Any dealer with access to the B&O community database can give you the 5 digit master unlock code.  Up to them how when they do this.  As long as it's not reported as stolen usually :-)

@Sal, i have BV10 and had it on motorized stand before. I can't speak for BV11 but i believe the set up visually is quite alike, the BV10 sits quite low on the motorized stand. Cable goes through the pole from the back side , just above the rotation plate. I had 3 cables in a black cable-sock running through it:

-extension cord with 3-socket box (for DVD, ATV, STB, all mounted on the back)

- power cable BV10

- signal cable STB

Depending on where your outlets are, you can install it super neatly.

When BV10 was rotated at big angle I was more 'unhappy' with the 3 devices mounted on the back, rather than with cable management.

Patience, persistence, cable socks and black ty-wraps can make a world of difference Big Smile

New appartment, installation not neat (at that time)

Thanks - and there is a 3rd one already (child) Surprise

The BV10 is now wall mounted, result the kids knocked the BL17 down from the cabinet it was standing on. I have ordered table stands so that the can stand horizontally
