I have several Bang & Olufsen speakers bought in the past and they sounded great. But the new Beolab 90 doesn't interest me. I find it ugly. I prefer the Beolabs 1,6000, 8000 and Penta. They had a beautiful design. What's your opinion?
Welcome to Beoworld!
Your question has already been answered in several threads. Most people seem to have grown to like the design.
The earlier designs have been a case of form dictating the limits of the engineering. The BL90 is a case of engineering dictating the form.

Aussie Michael:Hi and welcome. Irrespective of my personal opinion on the design the one thing we should all feel positive about is that it looks like nothing else.
As a halo speaker the design should in theory resemble the affordable speakers to fuel the aspirations of customers. But the optimum configuration does not allow this, so it looks like a clothes drying rack and I'm sure it sounds unbelievable. It's a speaker after all and I suppose the family resemblance thing is easier with cars , where the architecture of a 3 series can be scaled from a 7 series.
