Dear members,

a friend's Beosound 9000 turns itself off after a couple of seconds after initially powering on. Any ideas what could be the cause?

Thanks!

Kai

I was havng the same problem, but my unit wasnt solved by the method below yours might be. Under the glass the opens are two transparent triangle shaped sensors. Try cleaning them if theyre dusty they are not able to operate correctly, theyre used to protect your hands whilst changng cds, therefore if theyre dirty the beosound thinks that your hands are inside and shuts the system down. Unfortuntely mine had to go to b and o to have the sensors replaced.

Current b and o Products

beosound 5 encore, beolabs 6000, beogram 4500, playmaker mk1
