I have small problem since I've installed my BS5 Encore in to the same room as my Beosound 9000.

When I use my Beo4 for BS5 or BS9000 both systems are reacting. Is there any way to seperate or to block the signal for one on BEO4?

I can also use BS9000 by hand. So, I'll be happy for any kind of suggestion.

P.S. Can it be programed to seperate the commands for BS5 and BS9000 if I by Beo6?

Thanks

You can press the Standby and List buttons at the same time (while covering the front of the remote with your hand), then choose option 0 while holding the Beo 4 remote next to the system that you wish to disable the IR eye on. After that, one system will respond to your remote, and the other one, if properly programmed, will have to be operated manually and ignore the remote's signals.

Hi Hungedu, thank you very much for the tip. Honestly, I knew that and I did it too. But, I was so stupid to cover the remote for the target system :) Therefore, got no succes.

Anyway, now everything is ok. Thanks again.

Hi this appears to be a configuration issue - I am not familiar with the Encore but is it possible (as Beosound 5) to set it as an Audio Slave rather than Master?  I would had have thought the BS9000 should be in Option 1 if there is not a B&O TV in the same room, or unlike the Beosound 5 and say a 9000, can the two products not be operated in the same room?  Time to do some homework....................

My setup is still not finished. My dealer will visit me to make the final configuration. Masterlink between BV7 and BS9000 is there but not connected yet.

I just have temporary problem. I'm sure that the dealer has an intelligent solution for my situation. Anyway, let's wait and see :)

Hopefully I am not being dismissive or rude, but the first thing I did was look up in the Encore User Guide - pages 17 and 18 seem relevant.  Set Encore to Option 4 when two music systems are in the same room and press LINK then CD, etc. etc.

Maybe it is easier to post on Beoworld without looking up in the manual :)

Just being cheeky, I learnt something anyway.

Taking your point to another level, how is it that one doesn't expect the dealer to provide this type of info to a customer of an expensive brand new product that comes with a full warranty?

Smile

Because I'm the one who never read the manuals and install everything on its own. This is just a hobby for me and as long as I've no difficulties I do not ask help from dealer.

KingOfSnake, your message teach me that "don't be stupid and read first the manual and then play"

Anyway, I feel stupid but still my problem is solved without reading the manual Stick out tongue

Thank you...
