I've just recently set up my A6 via pairing with my iPad and was wondering if it's at all possible to connect it to my Beovision 8/40 as a extra speaker, I realise it's only mention as a wifi speaker and I knew that on purchase but would it be at all possible? any ideas anyone.

Regards Maurice

With the more recent BeoSystem 4 based TVs the answer would be yes. However I don't believe its possible on a BS3 based product.

Hold on a second. Thinking again, you could potentially use the new line-in capability that just came in the new firmware.

Not sure how it works, but I think that is a definite option.

You mean you can add a pair of A6s to a V1?

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

You probably could use one of the scart connections.

They would have a line-level output.

Use a scartadapter with R/L out.

However, I am not sure, whether there would be a sound delay problem, when the A6 processes the sound of the line-in.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Correct you would have a problem with delay. Because it is not possible to put it in local play mode. It is always sending sound to the network this introduce a delay so multiroom is not misallinget

Yes, you can connect a TV to the line-in of the BeoPlay A6. But you have to enter the BeoSetup settings and disable the latency on the line-in. See here: http://bogo.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7063/kw/7063
