I know this sounds crazy, but if anyone has any broken MMC Stylii I'd like to buy them, on behalf of BeoWorld.
I'd like to have them rebuilt, then sell them to B&O users and enthusiasts on behalf of the site via the Gift Shop Portal - with all profits going towards the running of the site. Some cartridges are irreparable, of course, but I'll take the chance and buy them anyway..
It's a win/win. We keep those record decks in use for future generations to enjoy - and hopefully we can make a small amount for BeoWorld too!
I'm happy to pay the following :
MMC5 : £10
MMC4 : £15
MMC3 : £20
MMC2 : £25
MMC1 : £35
Please PM me if you have them, or just send them to the following address. I'm happy to pay by PayPal once they arrive, but please make sure the delivery is recorded.

As mentioned, please include your PayPal address and also your email address or contact details.
If anyone has an issue with this - or any objections, please let me know. I agree this isn't a 'Private Wanted' advert, but it's hopefully for the good of BeoWorld - so it's a difficult one.
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Of course the MMC1-5 differed only in the cantilever and diamond so a 5 can become a 2 easily! If broken, they are all really worth the same!
Just wish I could find my MMC6000! Unfortunately now impossible to get a Pramanik diamond!

Hello Lee,
I have a 5, a 4, a 2; all with broken cantilevers, a non functioning 3 with an intact cantilever and tip, and one with no sheath (ie. no number) but the cantilever stub appears to be translucent - so probably a 1 or 2. My understanding is that the guts of 1-5 are all the same, so why would one cartridge needing a new cantilever have a different value from another cartridge needing a new cantilever?
David
Hello David,
It's all about the 'prestige' and originality of having that number - but when I have them rebuilt the MMC4's and MMC5's are to MMC4 standard. The 3, 2 and 1 are all done to a higher level and I pay more.

I'm pretty sure you sent me the broken Stylii as I got a box from Brattleboro, VT which I think is about 9-10 miles from you... However, no paperwork in the box so this is just an educated guess!
If you can PM me I'm ready to give you some money!
