greetings all,

finally I got the mechanics working - now have to tackle a hum through the tone arm-cable connection !

I am working on a BG6000 that came without the CD4-preamp board - also missing is the mute circuit !!

there are too many wires on the connector, which was originally wired to that missing board #6,

meaning I have to connect directly to the outgoing 5-pin DIN plug cable.

looking at he circuit diagram I should only connect the wires for FL & FR, common ground and chassis

meaning PIN# 1, 9, 7 and 5  as all other wires serve no purpose in this case ?!

could someone confirm that or correct me.

I opened the DIN plug to make sure none of the wires have come loose as a possible cause of the hum- all checked out  fine !

perhaps there is the possibilty of a faulty  cartridge ??

thanks for your support

ALF
