Hi,
This is my first time of owning a B&O product. I purchased a Beocom 6000 mark 1 base on e-bey from Denmark and a beocom 2 from UK. They both work fine except for the caller Id. Caller ID works fine on my old BT phone. Has anyone any Ideas. (the beocom 6000 is set to Danish translations welcome)
Many thanks
George
Probably different 'types' of sending the Caller ID.
A software change/update should/might help...if you can find a dealer, that does this.
Oh - and welcome to Beoworld.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
I have got various BC6000s purchased second hand when I lived in UK and then Denmark. Since moving to Germany I have never been able to get caller ID to work - it worked fine before. My handsets are mostly at SW version 2.5. and the base-station at 2.1. The base-station is plugged into my D-Telekom W724V router, but even when I connect handsets straight to the router using DECT, caller-display still doesn't work
Hence I have learnt to live without caller ID!
Having now returned from Romania to UK (Shropshire) I dug out my BC6000s and reconnected them.
Initially Caller ID still did not work - my phone service is via PlusNet and I am paying for Caller ID. However I recently purchased 3 extra BC6000s 'spares or repair', that came with 2 charger bases and a PSTN base. Whilst playing around with these to see what was working I connected the pyramid PSTN (old style) and Caller ID worked straight away! Now I can tell when my mother-in-law is calling!
Interestingly this 'new to me' PSTN had an older SW version, 1.1 rather than the 2.1 that was in mine. Hence it seems that an older SW version has fixed my Caller ID problem. I hope that others may find this useful, and when I unpack the boxes that hold all my other PSTNs and phones I'll do some more experimentation!
