I have a BeoLab 14 5.1 system in my living room which I like alot!  I'm not sure why I did this but an opportunity came for me to get a BeoLab 14 2.1 system and in a weak moment I purchased it.  I was wondering how the system would sound with 2 subwoofers, one on each side of the room, next to the front speakers.  These would be connected to a BeoSystem 4.  Now my dilemma is what to do with the other two speakers.  Option 1 would be to get ceiling mounts and place them as side speakers at the couch.  Option 2 would be to use the ceiling mounts and place them above the front speakers which are on floor stands and use them as fronts.  The 7.2 setup would work well for movies, and I am thinking that the expanded 5.2 would work well for music which would be very nice if it does work well.  Does anyone have any thoughts?

How would you connect it?

The BeoSystem 4 has 6 PL connections.  3 are used for my original BeoLab 14.  If I use the 2nd BeoLab 14 as fronts, I am guessing I can get away with one additional PL cable as it shows in the manual.  If I use side speakers then I would need 2 PL connections.

Hi Mark-N,

I suppose, that you already have consulted the 'Technical Sound Guide' on the B&O website?

Hi MM,

Actually, I wasn't aware of the guide.  I'll have to find it.

Thanks for the link!  I had trouble finding it because I thought it was a generic document and tried a google search on it.  I found one of them, although it wasn't for the BeoSound 4.
