smuehli:

I'm a HP User and a B&O enthusiast and proud that I've kicked all my apple stuff 2,5 years ago ;-)

Apple has moved from an innovative computer firm to a "consumer only and make big money" firm.

The good Hardware comes from other firms - HP for example ;-)

Apple is more proud to sell the Devialet Phantom (I've heard) and this Beats Crap ...

Sorry - I'm a bit late for the party... I've just seen this thread now, as I haven't had time to check out Beoworld for a couple of weeks.

I absolutely agree with you, Smuehli... Apple is so overrated (and overpriced), and I would not buy any of their products anymore. I simply won't pay a cent to the most greedy Company on the planet, as there are better alternatives.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the newer HP computers. And -as you wrote in another post - Windows Phone is perhaps the best GSM OS ever.
The only "problem" is the lack of some apps compared to the other two platforms ... But I can live without those apps.

But to the main topic of this thread... Yes - there has been written a lot about this, and I cannot say what B&O should do in the future. Except that going the Apple way will not save the Company.
Remember when Tue started..? The first "Play" products were tied to Apple only. Bad idea, as - although Apple is the biggest money-maker - they are not the biggest when it comes to market-share. Whether we're talking smartphones or tablets, Android is so much bigger - and luckily B&O realised that they should not ignore those 80% of the consumers.

I hope that B&O is being sold to a Company, that realize that B&O is a Danish Company. I saw a documentary the other day, about the newly-rich chinese people. When they buy luxury, they want European brands - something made in Europe - not some chinese stuff. They want some history too.
Maybe it was a mistake to "downplay" the Danish/European heritage? I don't know.

To a person who has a bad experience of a product than it 'IS' the worst product and the chances are, the person is more likely to tell friends and colleagues more about a bad experience than a good one.
