The half year financial review contained the following comment

"The revenue development in the Bang & Olufsen segment will be dependant on the performance of new products launched in the second half of the financial year, and the performance of the newly launched BeoLab 90."

No clue as to what they are but this clearly implies there will be new non-Play products on the way.

Let the speculation begin!

Also seems to indicated that there is a hope/expectation that BL90 will sell in significant enough numbers to have a clear impact on overall revenue.

I'd love a new sound system to add a third to the mix in the way of choice. Something that's less than the Moment, but more than the Essence. (maybe something completely different). {"less" and "more" in the way of functionaliy / useability; not a hideaway box but something with a display and buttons, but no moodwheel or pattern play, for instance}

I would love a center speaker with inbuild surround sound decoder. Sort of a mini bs4 so you could add B&O sound to any tv. Something you could use with transmitter 1 and 4x beolabs.

Hi Sal,

No just speculation but a nice name is always more personal than a number isn't it - like Avant, Ouverture.

Maybe a sound system that had a 128GB SSD in it so then there wouldn't be streaming problems. Simply connect it to your iTunes library on your MacBook and copy...

"Renaissance" to me sounds exactly like a name B&O would use, hence my question to you whether you had any inside information. If B&O does use such a name, hopefully someone there will send you a free example  for giving them the name :-)

Hahahahah yes well, it suits the Mark Rothko style and age well. The only thing that I tend to use a TV for is watching surfing documentaries with beautiful landscapes and music so I guess that would fit in perfectly :) :) :) Certainly 10 and 11 look as original as the Barcelona chair or Eames desk chairs and that's coming from a guy who normally hates TVs in a house :)    I HAVE to save for a white Barcelona chair and lounger :) :) :)

There's definitely a BL3500 replacement on the way which I believe will be launched early next year. I understand it will be capable of working either as a link room speaker (Netlink equivalent of the BL3500) or as a sound bar when connected to third party televisions.

I have a suspicion that B & O wants you to buy their TV that does both things.

I am sorry, I should have posted why I deleted the posts. I guess I was hoping nobody saw my mistake, or should I say mistakes (plural) LOL

Found a link, was going to post it, but forgot to put in first post.

Reposted and included link. (Using Apple products so edit does not work)

Realized link was from 2015 CES not 2016 so posted that I had made mistake.

Then dug out my antique windows laptop and turned it on to edit and delete all three posts.

If you activate in Safari:

Safari > Preferences > Advanced

Click:  Show Develop menu in menu bar

Then click Develop in the menu bar > User Agent

And change this setting from Standard to Firefox--Mac

This works for me in Safari to edit my message I posted, without starting another browser as Chrome or Firefox to edit my posted message.

It is Safari and the way Beoworld is compiled (someone else might explain, what that means), that does not work together.

I can easily add pictures (using Safari) on the Mac, but can't edit there either.

You'll have to use another browser - or (on the iDevice) the Beoworld app (which I personally don't like).

Honestly, I am often pretty pi**ed off from this, too.

On the other hand it teaches you ( = forces you) to re-read your postings, before you push the button ;-)))

From previous discussions on this issue (!) I have understood, that there is nothing we can do to change it - recompiling the website would be much too expensive and troublesome.

As others have mentioned this is not far away. I understand it's due for launch in January although I'm not sure which end of the month and I'm not sure if stock will be available then or whether we will have to wait a little longer.

As MM indicated, it'll be part of the beoplay 'S' range.

Kind Regards,

Why not (although we/I don't know for sure with the new member of the family)?

If more devices support Spotify Connect, it is possible to join in on one device from another one.

A quick answer, because I do not want to pollute this thread:

- No, I just use it, to actually fool a server to edit.

- The browser will not remember your setting, Safari will revert to standard mode between launches. You can make User Agent stick if you edit the com.apple.safari.plist file. However there are no advantages to do it permanently, giving a deeper insight why would be to technically on this thread.

- The Beoworld forum is one of todays rare occasions I have to fool a website, and use it as a work around

Why not? The A6 and A9 are also marketed as B&O Play devices.

They can be standalone devices AND multiroom devices.

Exactly.

My understanding is that it will have NL functionality (like the A6 and A9) and connections for a third party TV (like the S8) so there is nothing revolutionary about these features being included in a Play product.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing seeing the precise details and the design once it is launched.

I cannot find it again but I clearly remember having seen something looking like a sound bar in a B&O video showing a 'contest' with young design talents.
