Essence with HDR2 IR module?

I am working on mounting my Essence and ICEpower 250asx2 into a HDR2 casing.

There is an IR receiver in the front plate of the HDR2. I guess it should be possible to connect it to the Essence so I can use a Beo4 with it.

Does anyone know how I can wire it? Here is pictures:

Come to think about it, it's not an IR receiver. It's controlled from a BV

You maybe could fit in an original Essence ir-eye somehow?

Yes, it should work. Only problem is that one mine the screws doesn't unscrew
