This star is the blue sky shining through the roof of an octogonal church in Kajiado in southern Kenya (From Nairobi take a southern route to Tansania and you shall pass Kajiado Town after 100 km). The church was build in 1994 and the roof just needed the ridging of the 8 segments.

Yes Slim Aarons was originally a war photographer. After his brother was killed, he decided that he only wanted to photograph beautiful inspiring experiences instead! And the rest, is history :)
Yes I thought that it was a KitchenAid. Nigella Lawson was using a real retro pinky red one in her latest series. I'd like to invest in one as i'm a huge nutrition fan and the finest cook outside of Milano of course :)

Hopefully you will all have a better time than I am right now - I had dental work done earlier in the week, then an abscess developed, so I'm currently in pain, barely able to eat, and have been told to drink no alcohol whilst on the current array of antibiotics and pain meds
On the plus side, it looks like it will enable me to dodge having to spend hours with the in-laws tomorrow, and if I take enough tramadol I will likely end up sleeping most of Christmas day afternoon, then wake up on boxing day feeling hungover, so that at least will be much like any other Christmas
