I managed to play my old tv  through my B&O but can seem to get anything from my system. The cable is a white and red din plug which I have put in the Samsung ports. Does anybody have any suggestions?.

Check your Samsung manual, you probably connected to an audio in connection, not all the models have an analog audio out connector. Also check if you audio is set to external speakers

And welcome to the forum

unfortunately samsung tvs only have optical audio out so depending on what model you have you most probably connected to the audio in input.

Thats pretty annoying as they should have added variable audio out like sony tvs have.

If there is no analog audio out on your TV, one of these or these may help
