New BL 18 - Working but no green light

My wife surprised me and when I got home, there were 4 brand new BL 18 instead of our 2 BL6002

All 4 speakers work wirelessly and they sound awesome (I spent the night watching movie scenes from Tron:Legacy, The Rock, Star Wars and the like).

One of the speakers though (Front right) does not turn its green light on when activated. The red light works when turning off the TV. I did not find anything in the manual suggesting there is a switch/configuration to control the light behaviour.

Is it faulty? I'm going to call the dealer as soon as the shop is open but you guys are definitely more knowledgeable!

It's a BV11-55 (latest model, bought this year), the TV is updated with the latest software.

I visited the dealer and they will have a look at it after the holidays. Not a major issue but it's a matter of principle

The funny and extremely scaring thing is that I got back home, sat on the couch to do some work on the laptop oblivious to the rest of the world, and I did not notice anything in the living room. When she got back an hour later, she said "Don't you notice anything different?". Had a look around and could not believe it. Especially because the nearest speaker was 1m away from me at the side of the couch...

Congratulations! What a wonderful gift. Your comments about not noticing the ew speakers reminded me of a similar experience. Many years ago, whenever my wife and I visited our favorite B and O store, we would go into their theater room and listen to the Beolab 1s they had set up. We were amazed and very much wanted the 1s but they were too expensive. One day we walked in to the store and the 1s had been moved out to the main showroom with a large discount as demos. My wife really liked and wanted the speakers. 

Shortly after visiting the store, and without telling my wife, I phoned the store and purchased the Beolab 1s. The dealer delivered and set up the speakers soon after.

Our best friends wanted to be present when my wife was surprised with the new speakers so they came over and we waited for my wife to come home. When she came home, she stopped and saw us and asked why our friends were there. What she did not notice is that where she stopped at the top of some steps, she was looking at the back of a decorative post on top of a half wall as well as the back of the Beolab 1, which was less than two feet in front of her. As she looked around the Beolab 1, and asked why we were laughing and why the friends were there, we pointed out the Beolab 1 between her and us.

Perhaps that is part of why we like B and O. They are so beautiful and blend in with decor so well, things such as this occur.

Sort of similar experience ... I was on assignment sans family in the UK; got "home" to the apartment mid-evening from work and started continuing my work. About an hour later I started to get annoyed by a flashing light in the corner of my eye ... I looked up and there was a bloody Christmas tree with lights next to me on the couch !

The real state agent had installed it during the day ... and vey nice touch ... once I was out of "work mode"

PS my wife would kill me if I removed the 6000s she bought me.

Not for sentimental reasons.

Just because she prefers them over all other speakers

The BL19 was in a big box the next day

Anyway, the green light problem was due to a faulty cable inside the speaker. The dealer replaced it and it works. Now I have wireless problems which I posted in another thread
