Hi all.
I am the happy owner of Beolab 18's and in a few days a new Beolab 19 and a A6 I just ordered.
While buying the A6, B&O updated my Beosound Essence to MKII version.
I have few question :
-Is it normal there is no more LED in front of the Essence MKII like the MKI (not really usefull, but just wanted to be sure :) )
-TuneIn doesn't seem to work on my new setup : I entered it on the Essence GUI and in the BeoMusic App, I can see the station, I can launch them. On the APP, it seems to work but I have no sound going out the Essence. Do you have this issues ? (i tried on my android phone and on mu daughter's Ipad.)
I am pretty sure I will have other questions when the Beolab 19 will be there as it seems no so easy to configure it correctly with th 18's and the transmitter.

Hi Christophe,
Welcome to the forum.
1. Yes, this is totally normal. The LED in the front has been removed.
2. Try installing also the BeoSetup App on your smartphone, and then go to "YOUR CONTENT" and "TUNEIN". Verify that your TuneIn username/password is also there.

I have two MkII Essences and neither have a status light on front. There is a light in the rear that is normally on (network status) but that is about it.
I have configured my Essences with Bonjour (Mac) using the web page, but setting up Tunein was fairly easy. Just entered the user name and password and Tunein works fine. I'm sure the BeoSetup App must be similar.
By default the Source List has TuneIn as enabled. You might want to check this to make sure it is enabled and positioned where you want it in the active source list. I have it in the #1 position, and Music Stream in the #2 position for DLNA. This works correctly for me.
Yes, it's quite easy to setup. My credentials are entered on both the Essence and the BeoMusic app.
For me the sources are just usefull when using the remote wheel, but from the App, it shouldn't make any difference.
Never mind, I kept Deezer, TuneIn, Bluetooth, Lin in (in this order)
I will try resetting everything and beginning from scratch.
Thank you for your answers.

Yes the source list and order shouldn't matter, as long as they are enabled... I guess. I would love to try Deezer, but it appears not to be available in the U.S. yet. I disabled all the sources I know I will not be using right now to simplify the cycling through the sources on the Essence remote. Right now I just cycle through Tunein & DLNA (Music Stream), and use Airplay directly from my Remote App.
Another thought I just had is I believe I found some Tunein radio stations that could not be streamed through BeoMusic. They can be played on the computer, but nothing comes out on BeoMusic. One of my sisters 70's pop stations did work at one time, but is unavailable now. On a friends system, her country music station was not available through BeoMusic. I'm lucky because my "J-Pop Project Radio" and "J-Pop Idols Project Radio" stations are always available to me from BeoMusic. You might want to try one of these just to test it!!!
