Hi,

I'm a long time B&O owner with mainly some older products and I'm considering an upgrade mainly to use media from a NAS instead of CDs and also make som use of the multiroom features. I would like some input from the well informed forum members on how to go about my upgrade in the best way.

My current setup is:

* Living room:
  Beosound 3000 with Beolab 6000 connected.
  Beovision 8-40, currently not connected to ML (due to pure laziness on my side)

* Kitchen:
  Beolab 2000 connected to Living room Beosound 3000 via a long ML cable.

My plan was to:
  Replace (or complement) Beosound 3000 with a Beosound Essence or Beosound Moment
  Connect both TV and kitchen Beolab 2000 to the network
  Maybe add some more speakers to the setup to get surround sound with the TV.

Does anyone have a good idea on what is needed for performing this upgrade?

I understand I can put a Beolink NL/ML converter to connect my new Essence/Moment to the old system but I fail to understand the details.
Can the Beolink converter convert to WLAN or does it need to be a wired LAN? Currently I only have WLAN in the house.
Can I put 1 Beolink converter and connect both my Beolab 2000 and TV to this over ML or do I need 1 converter per device?
Would it in my future setup be better to have the speakers connected to my TV over powerlink or should they be connected to the Essence/Moment that will join the system? Any advantages/disadvantages either way?

Thanks!

-Magnus

Can I put 1 Beolink converter and connect both my Beolab 2000 and TV to this over ML or do I need 1 converter per device?

Din TV, Beolab 2000 kopplas ihop med NL/ML converter. Du behöver bara en converter. Sen kopplar du in din Moment eller Essence till din router. Se i min bild hur jag har löst det.

Would it in my future setup be better to have the speakers connected to my TV over powerlink or should they be connected to the Essence/Moment that will join the system? Any advantages/disadvantages either way?
