Never seen this technology before. Could resolve a lot of sofa conflicts at home...

I can see it having uses perhaps in banks or places where you want the sound limited for privacy - but a TV with split screen - maybe I am getting old but surely it defeats the object of watching a film with someone and sharing the experience - may as well have two TVs in separate rooms

It's not a new technology but it seems the first time that it is used for civil and good usage cases. :-)

Sonic beams are used in sonic weapons by the police or military and it's even tried to use on board of ships to defend them from pirates.
